Besides a brand new design for Green Blog the biggest new things is our new comment system which have received a major overhaul (you can now reply, give reputation etc!) and that we have given Twitter an prominent place on the site.

In the coming days we will also give you the possibility to change the frontpage layout. But more on that later!

With this new design we will also introduce Apture (that’s an Apture link right there!) in our blog posts. Apture allows you to dig deeper into a subject without ever leaving the blog post. When you click on any link marked by the icons , , or , you will be able to view video, reference materials, images and other related media.

Your comments are your voice and so far your voice has been lost into an endless void of anonymity. IntenseDebate brings your identity into the light by providing you with a user profile and comment history. With an IntenseDebate account you will have a reputation attached to your identity that is displayed whenever you make a comment. The reputation value serves as a quick overview of your comment history and is based on the quantity and more importantly the quality of the comments you have made.

Hopefully you will enjoy this new, and much faster, website design. If not you can always rage about it using our new comment system!

Alright, now it’s time to get a bit more personal (for the first time ever on Green Blog). The reason for the lack of updates here recently is because my computer has broken down. And because of that I have been unable to post any new posts on the blog. Hopefully this computer mess will be sorted out in the coming week. I will keep you all updated about this via our Twitter page, as well as on Enviro Space.

One of these issues is the emerging world water shortage. Our water is running out and it boggles my mind that more people aren’t concerned. It is going to very soon affect everyone in very big ways.

It’s finally here!

Green Blog has been around for one year now and we felt it was time to give it some new, more modern, clothes. And with clothes I mean a brand new website design.

We like the new design and we really hope you will too. If not you can come and whine and vent out all those bad words in this forum thread. Hopefully we will find all site bugs and errors before you do. If not, please let us know about them in our green forum or by sending us an email. Thank you!

After only a few months online Green Blog changed from only covering green web hosts to become a multi-author environment blog covering all kinds of “green” topics from around the world.

During the summer of 2007 we also launched our green forum community making it possible for our readers to interact with each other and discuss environmental related topics (and everything else for that matter!) much more easily. And when the New Year came we introduced the worlds first and only (what we know) tree planting forum.

In the year to come we will release a new website design and some new features, such as Green Seed. We will also introduce you to some new authors.

But what really matters the most to us is you. Thank you for reading Green Blog. Thank you for subscribing to our RSS-feed. Thank you for joining our green forum.

Our green forum has reached 101 members! And just like we promised Green Blog will plant two trees to celebrate this.

I have just placed the order for two trees to be planted in Borneo with the help from WWF and NEWtrees.

Our tree will be planted in the next few days. Once that is done, they will mail me the exact locations of the trees so we will be able to see them on Google Earth.

As we all know planting trees can help fight climate change and poverty. And now you can help out to plant trees, for free!

Our green forum currently only has 85 members. We want more people to find out about this friendly forum community. That’s why we will plant one tree two trees for every hundred members that sign up, starting from today. That means we only need 15 more new members until we can plant our first trees.
