It takes a lot of energy to power and maintain servers for a web host. Therefore one of the most important things you as a blogger or webmaster can do is to choose a green web host. Green web hosts are hosting companies that power their servers with renewable energy such as wind and solar power or offers carbon offsetting by buying green tags or RECs.
