Great post, Simon. I really think its only when an entire community sees the light, that real change can happen. www.ecotechsol.com

I hope that all will be ok there in sweden. Everyone should start using solar-panels, windenergy and led lamps themselves. That is how we can save electricity and our planet.
Im glad to be a part of saving our planet. (led pirnid, led lamid, led valgustid) LED bubs are one of the easiest way to start off with on the saving road. www.eestiled.ee

Hey Simon.

Wow. That is certainly something we don't expect from our civilised Swedish neighbours! I guess there are greedy sociopaths everywhere. :(

I notice that your problems come from your conservative political group - it seems they are the same everywhere... which makes me concerned about what us Brits have in store for the next 4+ years with our new conservative government. :/

All the best,

David.

Thank you David. It feels like for every step forward since the last election Sweden have taken another two steps back. And then I am not just talking about environmental issues. Our foreign minister might face prosecution for war crimes and crimes against humanity, for crying out loud!

http://www.thelocal.se/27100/20100608/ & http://www.thelocal.se/27364/20100621/

Thanks for this analysis, Simon. I think it is almost as disappointing for those of us who point to Sweden as a model for environmental excellence as it is for you when you live there.

Hopefully your fellow countrymen and women see sense in September.
