World leaders apologizes for climate failure in Copenhagen ads

Our world leaders haven’t yet apologized for their climate failure in Copenhagen so Greenpeace and the global tcktcktck campaign have done it for them in these advertisements at the Copenhagen airport:

obama-copenhagen-ad

“I’m sorry,” the text of the ad reads. “We could have stopped catastrophic climate change… We didn’t.”

Some of the so called world “leaders” depicted are Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy, Gordon Brown, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Dmitry Medvedev and others.

“We’re hoping these ads predict the wrong future — the one where world leaders look back with a “coulda, shoulda, woulda” attitude at a Copenhagen climate summit which failed. There’s still time to change the future. Our recipe for world leader regret-avoidance is simple: agree a fair, ambitious, and legally binding deal to save the climate”, writes Brian from the Greenpeace Climate Rescue Webblog.

  • thanks for sharing, really enjoyed this article, look forward to coming back and reading more
  • The problem is that going green is very chic now. Those who were fighting for climate revisions years ago were ignored until it became popular. Al Gore helped a lot and he brought awarness. Those who were shouting about this over 10 years ago were looked at as crazy.Thjis is the same situation as in health reform where the diabetes crisis was ignored for decades now Oprah wants to bring "Awarness" http://ezinearticles.com/?The-3-Major-Warning-Signs-of-Diabetes&id=3660438
  • One Person can't chage the entire world. It is a collective group of people who can really make a difference. Great blog!!
