I saw the documentary about 2 months ago. I got really scared when I realized the transition made from wonders of our planet to the waste of the resources. It was a very powerful message but I'm afraid that's a little to late. We are greedy and we can't seem to stop or won't. It's very sad because this will have repercussions only on ourselves.

[...] La data de 5 iunie a fost lansat în aceeaşi zi în peste 50 de ţări filmul non-profit HOME, în variantele pentru cinematograf, TV, DVD/Blue-ray Disc şi Internet, cu scopul de a-şi răspândi mesajul în rândul unei ţinte cât mai largi de audienţă. “Trăim în vremuri excepţionale. Oamenii de ştiinţă spun că avem la dispoziţie 10 ani pentru a ne schimba modul de viaţă, pentru a preveni atât epuizarea resurselor naturale cât şi evoluţia catastrofică a climatului planetei” a declarat Yann Arthus Bertrand, regizorul şi fotograful producţiei. Acesta a adăugat că “miza este mare pentru noi şi pentru copiii noştri. Fiecare dintre noi trebuie să ia parte la acest demers, iar filmul HOME a fost conceput pentru a transmite un mesaj de mobilizare către fiecare individ.” Filmul este regizat de renumitul fotograf francez Yann Arthus-Bertrand şi produs de către faimosul regizor Luc Benson, acţiunea peliculei fiind relatată de către Glenn Close, nominalizat de 5 ori la Premiile Academiei pentru rolul său din producţia “Legături periculoase” (1988). Filmările au fost realizate în sistem high-definition în 45 de ţări şi 120 de locaţii pe durata a 217 zile şi au fost în premieră efectuate în totalitate în spaţiul aerian, pentru a evidenţia misterele planetei, dar şi rănile suferite de aceasta şi pentru a furniza o perspectivă necesară pentru abordarea schimbărilor mediului.
