Imagine revolutionizing the way we handle our laundry and dry cleaning needs with our new invention of the Sonic Waterless Washing Machine. Just like the washer and dryer cycles, here's how our device works:

Pretreatment – assists breaking the bond between contaminants and articles to be cleaned, thereby accelerating the cleaning process.
Dehydration – During the dehydration cycle, contaminants are dried to their mineral components which enables them to be removed during the sonic cycle.
Sonic Cycle – During the sonic cycle, sonic waves of various lengths are used to dislodge contaminants from articles to be cleaned. Once dislodged, the contaminants fall to the contaminant collection tray to be easily disposed of.
UV-C Cycle – During the UV-C cycle, UV light is used to destroy bacteria, germs, and viruses, leaving the now cleaned articles sterile and sanitary.
(Optional) Scented Fabric Freshener Cycle – During this optional cycle, one of many fabric scents may be added to the now cleaned articles, leaving the desired fresh scent.

Features and Benefits
1.	No need for excess laundry aides, ie detergents, fabric softener, and bleach.
2.	Green for the environment. Doesn’t foul water, thereby significantly reducing water
pollution. Greatly reduces power consumption by eliminating the demands of
agitating large volumes of water, then drying excess water from cleaned items
3.	Does not fade or bleed colors.
4.	Does not shrink or degrade cleaned articles.
5.	Does not produce excess lint.
6.	Safe for permanent press, hand-washed, delicate, and dry-clean only articles.
7.	Saves time by eliminating the need for a two-step cleaning and drying process
(washer and dryer).

The US ARMY is seeking a new methodology in the way soldiers handle their laundry duties. Currently, soldiers have to remove the ballistic shells in their gear and then proceed to hand wash. This is a time consumption problem that limits the soldiers’ opportunity to do laundry.

Sometimes a soldier may be located in an isolated area where sanitary water prevents them from washing anything. Our device affords the soldier an opportunity to do laundry without the need to remove ballistic shells.

Our device offers a green alternative and eliminates foul water pollution in the waterways.

Well, it is one thing to get a fix on the number - say, 300 ppm, but quite another to figure out how to get it down or maintain the CO2 levels at that number. Obviously, the latter appears to be far more difficult than a calculation and arrival at a specific number.

That said, having a number of in mind has its merits. I read earlier today about the Deutsche Bank hoarding in New York that shows the total amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Some could say, what the heck, what difference does it make if I knew that the atmosphere has so many zillions of tons of GHG, but the truth is, seeing such numbers constantly drills these concepts and concerns into everyone's psyche, and that is absolutely welcome. I'd say it is similar for the number 300 ppm. And wasn't it Lord Kelvin who said, "what you cannot measure, you cannot control"?
