Am I the only one concerned with the way that George Monbiot seems to be turning violent. He describes this series of interviews as "aggressive", "bare knuckle" and "fierce encounters". This is more the language of George Bush than that of an environmental campaigner. Will George soon be encouraging us to "surge" to win our cause no matter what the cost to innocents? Will his violence of words and attitude one day preach violence to protect the environment? Maybe not, but the violence of his words may encourage others to act aggressively. He should know better and I believe the environmental movement is being harmed by his approach.
