MyBlogLog and Gravatar comment avatars

MyBlogLog and Gravatar comment avatarsYou can now see your own avatar next to your comments here on Green Blog. You can see an example here.

If you have a MyBlogLog or Gravatar account and you have filled in the correct information in the comment form your avatar will show up next to your comment name with a link back to your website and account. Isn’t that nifty or what!?

Update: If you want to use this feature on your own WordPress blog you will need to install the MyAvatars plugin.

This is a great addition to your site! What does it? A WordPress Plug-in – or something else?

I used the WordPress plugin MyAvatars. The plugin requires some simple CSS/HTML coding.

Here’s a goofy question! When you leave a comment here on your site – it asks for Name, Mail, and Website. Is that a plugin?

My Blog asks for the same info – but it doesn’t look as clean. And the output (The comments) – appear different too.

    Thanks!

Thats not a plugin. Thats how I designed this template (it’s based on the blue “WordPress Default 1.6″ template).

My Blog asks for the same info – but it doesn’t look as clean. And the output (The comments) – appear different too.

Yep, I’ve made some changes to the code/design when I added this plugin. This is how the CSS file to the plugin looks like.

If you want your comment form to look like this one here you will need to do some coding. :)

    AGAIN – thanks!

I’m on a site called http://www.Cre8Buzz.com – and I’m going to see if they’ll start a “Green Community” on there. When they do – I’ll have you get me an email address you check and I’ll shoot you off an invite!

    Have a DYNAMITE day!
